Born in Buffalo, New York, Ms. Wolfe has a B.A. degree in Theater (Summa cum Laude) from Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio and a M.F.A. in Dance from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX where she twice received the Meadows Award as an outstanding dance student, and won the Betty Ferguson Award as Outstanding Graduate student. As a professional dancer, Ms. Wolfe was a soloist with Ballet Dallas, Ballet Midland, Irving Ballet, Richardson Ballet, Dallas Metropolitan Ballet, Southwest Dance Collective, and Berea Summer Theatre. After moving to Manassas in 1990, Ms. Wolfe became a teacher at the Manassas School of Dance (now MBA) and a principal dancer with Manassas Dance Company (now MBT). In 1997, Ms. Wolfe became Associate Director of MBT and helped lead the expansion of the Company into a professional ballet company. In 1999, she became Artistic Director of Manassas Ballet Theatre. In 2008, Ms. Wolfe was presented with the Seefeldt Pioneer Award for Arts Excellence by the Prince William County Park Authority Arts Council for her contributions to the areas art community. Under her leadership, MBT has become the largest performing arts organization in Northern Virginia.

After graduating in 1989 from the Novosibirsk Ballet Academy in Russia, Mr. Slatvitskiy became the principal dancer with the Novosibirsk Theatre from 1989 until 2000 where he danced in many productions. In 2000, he became a principal dancer with the Grigorovich Ballet Company in Russia. He has also appeared as a guest dancer across the United States. He has danced the principal roles in The Nutcracker, Giselle, La Fille Mal Gardee, Don Quixote, Frankenstein and Cinderella just to name a few. Mr. Slatvitskiy has toured around the world, including countries such as Argentina, China, Egypt, England, Germany and Italy. Mr. Slatvitskiy serves as primary choreographer, ballet master, and dancer for Manassas Ballet Theatre as well as a principal teacher and Youth American Grand Prix coach for Manassas Ballet Academy. Mr. Slavitskiy joined MBT in 2006.

Mr. Burnham was born in Lake Tahoe, CA and started his ballet training at Santa Cruz Ballet under the direction of Robert Kelly and Diane Cypher. He continued his training in Washington at Mid-Columbia Ballet under Debra Rogo. At age 13, he received full scholarships to San Francisco Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and Houston Ballet. In 2004, he joined San Francisco Ballet where he performed in such ballets as Helgi Tomasson’s Meiston’s Mozart, and Balanchine’s Stars and Stripes and The Four Temperments. In 2006, Mr. Burnham joined Cincinnati Ballet where he danced many lead roles. He has worked with choreographers Jorma Elo, Val Caniparoli, Mark Morris, Trey McIntyre, James Kudelka, and Twyla Tharp. In 2009-2011, he performed with Ballet Theatre of Maryland dancing as Romeo in Romeo and Juliet and the Cavalier in The Nutcracker among other roles. Mr. Burnham joined MBT in 2012. He is a teacher and YAGP coach for Manassas Ballet Academy and a Ballet Master at MBT.

From Egypt, Mr. Nabil graduated from the Higher Institute of Ballet, the Academy of Arts and then received his Bachelor’s Degree in Choreography. He has earned several awards including First Prize (twice) at the Classical Ballet Competition of the Egyptian Ministry of Culture. Ahmed was a principal dancer with the Cairo Opera House where he danced many leading roles including Siegfried in Swan Lake, Basilio in Don Quixote, Romeo and Romeo and Juliet. He became the Assistant Director of the Cairo Opera Ballet Company in 2012. His ballet, Exit Door, won the Critics Award as best Egyptian Ballet in 2014. Mr. Nabil joined MBT in 2018 and also teaches at Manassas Ballet Academy.

From Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Emily is an experienced professional dancer. Her career includes dancing for the four years with the Novosibirsk State Opera and Ballet Theater and two years with the Mariinsky Theater. Primorsky Stage (Vladivostok). In addition, with the Arrondi Art Ballet and Brussels International Ballet she has toured in South Korea, China, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Crimea, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Her training includes Paris Opera, Danish Royal Ballet, Houston Ballet, American Ballet Theater, Polish National Ballet and Bolshoi Ballet. Ms. Abrom Is also an off-Broadway actress and singer who has performed in over 20 musical theater productions.2023 is Emily’s first year with MBT.

Mr. Amrayev was born in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and received his ballet training from A. Seleznev Choreographic School of Almaty from 1996 until 2004. After graduating with honors from the school, he was a principal dancer with the National Opera and Ballet House in Almaty from 2004 until 2013, where he danced in many productions including Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Badhchisarai Fountain, Taras Bulba, and Legend of Love. Mr. Amrayev then danced in the Russian National Ballet of Sergey and Elena Radchenko from 2013 until 2014. Currently, he is working as an impresario and organizer with the Alan Bars Group, the largest production company in Kazakhstan. The company hosts the most significant and important concerts and ballet festivals inside the country as well as the international arena. Mr. Amrayev joined Manassas Ballet Theatre in 2014.

Ms. Bartlett is a Maryland native and a 2016 graduate of Goucher College in Baltimore, where she finished Magna Cum Laude with a BA in dance and minor in psychology. Ms. Bartlett received a majority of her training at Glen Burnie, Maryland’s, Edna Lee Dance Studio, where she eventually taught ballet, pointe, jazz and contemporary/lyrical as well as choreographed for the school. She was invited as guest artist by Howard County Ballet in 2013-2015 to dance Sugar Plum Fairy. Ms. Bartlett spent the 2016-17 season with Charlottesville Ballet as trainee and danced several corps de ballet roles, including The Nutcracker’s Waltz of the Flowers. She has danced many roles with Manassas Ballet Theatre including Lucy and a Vampire Wife in Dracula, Arabian and Lead Flower in the Nutcracker, and a Stepsister in Cinderella. Ms. Bartlett joined MBT in 2017 and the Manassas Ballet Academy faculty in 2019.

Born in Los Angeles, Annemieke began her training with Maria Whaley in Ashland, Kentucky. She continued her training, graduating from The Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington DC. As a professional, Annemieke worked with the Classical Ballet in Charleston, SC, Ballet 5:8 in Chicago and Virginia National Ballet. From 2018 to 2022 Annemieke danced with the State Opera Stara Zagora in Bulgaria. The 2022-23 season is her first with MBT.

Originally from Italy, Ms. De Nardi began the study of ballet at the age of six at Academy Teatro alla Scala di Milano in Milan, Italy. She graduated from the Ukrainian Academy of Ballet of Kyiv in 2012. In June 2005, Ms. De Nardi received a scholarship for the Royal Ballet School in London, and in 2010, participated at the International competition of Opera Kyiv in Ukraine. In 2011, she toured Europe with the Royal Czech Ballet Company performing as a soloist in Giselle. After graduation, Ms. De Nardi toured Europe with the Macedonian Opera and Ballet as a soloist in Skopje. In 2015, she joined the Cairo Opera House as a First Soloist and participated at the Domenico Modugno competition at the Petruzzelli Theater in Italy where she placed in the top five. She became co-proprietor and Artistic Director of Columbia Youth Ballet in Maryland in 2019 and a coach for YAGP in 2020 and 2022 winning 2nd place. Ms. De Nardi joined the Manassas Ballet Theatre in 2018.

Ms. Gorrell is from Manassas, Virginia. She began dancing at the age of five and is a recent graduate of Manassas Ballet Academy. She was a regular participant in Youth America Grand Prix, and attended summer intensives with The School of Pennsylvania Ballet. As a student, Ms. Gorrell has performed various roles with Manassas Ballet Theatre including Clara in Nutcracker. This is Ms. Gorrell’s first season with MBT.

Originally from Brazil, Ms. Greer started dancing at the age of 12. In Sao Paulo, she joined Renata Reys “Produdoes e Eventos” for two years as a dancer and taught ballet classes. Ms. Greer first came to the United States for a summer intensive at Ballet Chicago in 2012, then studied on a full scholarship in the year-round program with Chicago Ballet Arts. In 2014, she began studying at the Joffrey Ballet School in New York as a ballet trainee for two years. Ms. Greer danced as a guest artist with Eglevsky Ballet for “The Nutcracker” in 2015 with Homo Veritas Dance Theatre in 2016. She studied with Mrs. Ashley Tuttle during the summer of 2016. Ms. Greer attended Nashville Ballet Summer Intensive for Professional Dancers in 2019 with a partial scholarship, and she was a weekly winner of New York Dance Project quarantine choreography contest 2020. She is a choreographer for Manassas Ballet Theatre. Ms. Greer joined MBT in 2016.

Ms. Locke, from Chattanooga, TN, began her training at VanCura Ballet Conservatory and attended high school on scholarship at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts under the direction of Ethan Stiefel. She attended summer intensives at Ballet Tennessee, Joffrey Midwest, American Ballet Theatre, Kaatsbaan and Boston Ballet. Ms. Locke began her professional career as a trainee with Richmond Ballet, and later served as Principal Dancer and Ballet Administrator at Ballet Tennessee. She has performed a variety of featured roles with Manassas Ballet Theatre including Snow Queen in The Nutcracker, Myrtha in Giselle, Mina in Dracula, and the Mazurka in Les Sylphides. Ms. Locke joined MBT in 2018 and is also an instructor at Manassas Ballet Academy and a Publicity and Marketing Assistant with MBT.

Mr. Kaneko was born in Tokyo, Japan. He began his ballet training at Kamiya Ballet Art. Later he continued his studies at K-Ballet School and The Rock School for Dance Education. Mr. Kaneko has danced professionally with Alberta Ballet II, Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida and Virginia National Ballet. In addition, he has performed as a guest dancer at various prestigious venues in Japan. Mr. Kaneko has won various prizes in Japanese national competitions such as the 50th Saitama Ballet Competition 2017 and the Nagoya National Ballet Competition 2016 and 2017 where he won first place. Mr. Kaneko joined Manassas Ballet Theatre in 2020.

Mr. Kinerbayev is from Taraz, Kazakhstan. He received his training from Almaty Choreographic College and University Bolashak. He danced with State Academic Opera & Ballet Theatre, Samara Academic Opera & Ballet Theatre, Moscow City Ballet, and the Russian National Ballet. This is Mr. Kinerbayev’s first season with Manassas Ballet Theatre.

Ms. Krukava is originally from Minsk, Belarus. She graduated from Minsk Ballet Academy in 2012. She completed an internship in Manchester, United Kingdom. Ms. Krukava danced many roles with the Minsk State Theatre of Opera & Ballet and the Russian National Ballet. This is Ms. Kurkava’s first season with Manassas Ballet Theatre.

Ms. Miwa, from Tokyo, began her ballet training at age three. At 19 years old, she was awarded a merit scholarship to continue her training at the Joffrey Ballet School in New York under the direction of Era Jouravlev. At Joffrey, Ms. Miwa danced the role of Juliet in Romeo and Juliet and was a principal dancer in Naina’s Magic Garden. Ms. Miwa also trained with the Central School of Ballet in London, the Royal Danish Ballet, Milwaukee Ballet, Oklahoma City Ballet, Maryland Youth Ballet, and she trained at Atlanta Ballet with full Scholarship. In 2018, Ms. Miwa won 1st place as well as the Technical Award and a Special Judges award at the Japan Ballet Competition. In 2019, she won 1st place in the Jewels Ballet Festival Competition and 2nd place at the World Ballet Grand Prix in New York. She placed top 3 World Ballet Competition in Florida in 2021. Ms. Miwa joined Manassas Ballet Theatre in 2021.

Ms. Moya began her dance training in Mexico City, where she earned her Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) certifications and the prestigious Solo Seal Award. She moved to Chicago as a trainee for the Joffrey Ballet and continued with full scholarship to Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre where she joined the professional company. Ms. Moya danced various roles in Giselle, Swan Lake, La Bayadere, Western Symphony, Romeo and Juliet, The Sleeping Beauty, Jiri Kylian Petite Mort, PBT’s collaboration with Dance Theatre of Harlem, and others. Her repertoire also includes Waltz Girl in George Balanchine’s Serenade, First Girl in Lew Christensen’s Sinfonia, as well as Raymonda, Paquita and Coppelia. In Virginia, she danced as a Soloist for Virginia National Ballet. At Manassas Ballet Theatre she has performed as Snow Queen, Vampire Wife, and Night Fairy. She is a certified PMA Pilates and Progressive Ballet Technique (PBT) instructor. Ms. Moya joined MBT in 2021.

Mr. Myers began his training at the age of seven at Dancensations Dance Center in Alexandria, Virginia. In 2008, he attended a summer intensive with The Dance Theatre Of Harlem on full scholarship. He continued his training at Lake Ridge Dance Center in Woodbridge, under ballet instruction of Margaret Russell, Julianne Russell, and Joshua Burnham, which lead him to join Manassas Ballet Academy as a student in 2018. As a student, Mr. Myers has performed various roles in Manassas Ballet Theatre productions, including Fritz in The Nutcracker in 2018 and 2019 and Harlequin and Chinese in 2020. This is Mr. Myers’ first year with MBT.

Mr. Orrego grew up in Northern Virginia and attended Woodbridge High School. He trained at Manassas Ballet Academy and The Rock School. Mr. Orrego graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a BFA degree in Ballet performance. He began his professional career as a company member of Sacramento Ballet. He has been a guest artist at Indianapolis Ballet and Des Moines Ballet. Mr. Orrego joined Manassas Ballet Theatre in 2021.

Ms. Plys is from Chicago and began her classical ballet training at Midwest Ballet Theatre. She continued her dance education at the Joffrey Ballet in Chicago as a trainee, and completed her BFA in Dance from Mercyhurst University. While studying for her degree, Ms. Plys danced with Mercyhurst Ballet Theatre, SoMar Dance Works, and Lake Erie Ballet. After graduating, she danced with Manassas Ballet Theatre, Ad Deum Dance Company, and Ballet North Texas where she performed both classical and contemporary repertoires. Ms. Plys enjoys teaching and choreographing in a variety of dance styles; her choreography was showcased at the Mercyhurst Performing Arts Center, the American College Dance Festival, and the Glenda Brown Choreography Project. Currently, she teaches classical ballet and Mat Pilates in Northern Virginia. She is excited and grateful to dance again with MBT. This is Ms. Plys’ first season back with MBT.

Ms. Segura is from Midland, Texas, and began her training at Midland Festival Ballet under the direction of Susan Clark and Judy Coleman. Additionally, she has trained at Milwaukee Ballet, Alonzo King LINES Ballet, the National Choreographic Intensive, Texas Ballet Theater, and Burklyn Ballet on scholarship. After graduating high school, she went on to dance with Texas Ballet Theater’s Studio Company and then joined Virginia National Ballet in 2021. This is Ms. Segura’s first season with Manassas Ballet Theatre.

Ms. Thomas began her training at the age of six. She trained with Amber Rose in Culpepper, Virginia, and graduated from Manassas Ballet Academy in 2020. As a student Ms. Thomas performed the role of Clara in The Nutcracker and has performed various roles with Manassas Ballet Theatre as a company member. She earned her Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Northern Virginia Community College and is currently enrolled at George Mason University to earn her Bachelor’s Degree. Ms. Thomas joined MBT in 2020. She is also a teacher and YAGP coach for MBA.

Mr. Tyree was born in Okinawa, Japan. He started his dance training through the performing arts program at Woodbridge Senior High School and continued with dance classes at Dance Etc. in Woodbridge, VA. In 2018, he found his way to Manassas Ballet and began training with the academy. Mr. Tyree began dancing with Manassas Ballet Theatre in 2020.

Ms. Wilde is from Madison, New Jersey. She began her training with Leslie Drucks at the Studio Allegro School of Ballet. Ms. Wilde continued her training as a junior company member with the New Jersey Ballet, under the direction of Carolyn Clark. She attended summer intensives with Ballet Chicago, American Ballet Theatre, New Jersey Ballet and Atlanta Ballet. Ms. Wilde received her BFA in Ballet Performance at the University of Cincinnati’s College Conservatory of Music in 2019. Ms. Wilde joined Manassas Ballet Theatre in 2018 and is also an instructor for MBT.
